Line dancing - Teens / Adults
is a fun style of dancing where everyone dances together in rows or lines, following the same sequence of steps at the same time. Unlike many other forms of dance, you don’t need a partner, making it perfect for coming along on your own or with friends. Dances are taught step-by-step and repeated to music, so they’re easy to pick up as your confidence grows. Although line dancing is traditionally associated with country music, modern classes can include everything from pop and rock to chart favourites and classic hits. It’s a great way to keep active, improve coordination and fitness, meet new people and, most importantly, have fun!
Jazz Commercial / Street Dance class - Teens / Adults
A Jazz, Commercial & Street Dance class is an energetic class that combines three popular dance styles, giving dancers the chance to learn a variety of techniques and choreography.Jazz focuses on technique, kicks, turns, leaps and expressive movement. Commercial is the exciting performance style often seen in music videos, concerts and on stage, while Street Dance brings in upbeat, urban-inspired movements and encourages dancers to develop their own style and confidence. By combining all three, dancers can improve their fitness, coordination, flexibility, musicality and performance skills while learning fun routines to current and popular music. It’s a lively, confidence-building class that’s perfect for anyone who loves to dance, perform and have fun!
Grade 5 Ballet & Lyrical Ballet
Grade 5 Ballet & Lyrical Ballet is a combined class that develops strong classical ballet technique while giving dancers the opportunity to explore a more expressive and flowing style of dance. Grade 5 Ballet focuses on progressing ballet technique, including posture, strength, flexibility, balance, turns, jumps, musicality and more advanced movement vocabulary. Lyrical Ballet blends classical ballet technique with expressive, fluid movement. Dancers learn to interpret the music, communicate emotion and develop their artistry and performance skills. Together, the two styles help dancers build technique, strength, flexibility, musicality, confidence and expression, creating well-rounded and expressive performers.
